Hi….
Does anyone know of free remote access software for internal use on a network (i.e. not go through the Internet.) My problem is this, I have two computers, a desktop, downstairs which is a family computer, and my own laptop. sometimes certain pieces of related data are located on either machine .e.g document A is on desktop, document B is on laptop I am working on document A, then find I need bits of information from document B, which sees me repeatily running up and down the stairs. It would be much easier to connect to the pc view the documenet and leave it open while i continued working.
I would bring the laptop downstairs but as I often only need that one piece of information, it isn’t worth the hassle.
Any software for this would be useful, preferable free, but still list even if it is paid.
PS I already use logmein, for remote accees but my internet is often slow. I have l aso just tried SpyAnywhere which does not work, i know the network works fine and the ip addresses (internal) of both computers. I am able to recieve ping replies, and access network resources, it is just this remote access issue which limits my network efficiency, you could say, lol.
Cheers in advance for any help.
Peggy
